Alexis Bergot was born and raised in Wissant, France which has been the headquarters for his water sport career. It was in Wissant that Alex learnt to windsurf when he was 10 and SUP Surf when he was 14. Alex comes from a very athletic family. His sister was a professional tennis athlete, and his
5 brothers and sisters all do water sports and spend a lot of time on the water. His ocean-centric father taught Alex to windsurf, which ignited a passion for the ocean within him.

By spending his summers in the wave-haven of Brittany, Alex was able to progress quickly at the sport and was able to join the APP World Tour in 2019 in Gran Canaria and is currently ranked 57th.
