About
Henere grew up in Tahiti and from a young age played football until he made a career in a football school. It wasn’t until he was 18 that he started to practice Stand-Up paddling with friends. He enjoyed it so much that he immediately began entering local races and training harder. His first experience of serious competition was the Waterman Tahiti Tour championship which allowed him to encounter and compete with world-class athletes. In 2019 he finished first in the SUP category of said race and 3rd overall.
He has many accolades in the world of SUP including a first place at the Air France Paddle Festival in the 8km race and another first place in the APP Osaka event in the long-distance category.
