About
Jackson inherited his natural flair for ocean sports from his parents. Not only did they both grow up in the surf lifesaving clubs in Australia, his father was part of the first Australian Outrigger team to win the Molokai to Oahu channel crossing in the early 90’s.
Growing up on the Gold Coast of Australia with parents who loved the ocean meant that Jackson spent his childhood at the beach. He began paddling an Outrigger from a very young age and has been competing in the professional Surf Ironman series in Australia since the age of 19, presenting a very established waterman. This is confirmed by Jackson’s many titles including being crowned the Ultimate Waterman in the Quicksilver Waikiki Festival and ranking 2nd in “The Ultimate Waterman” in New Zealand.
Whilst paddling an outrigger with Jamie Mitchell one day, he suggested that Jackson give Stand-Up Paddling a go and gave him his first board. After Jackson’s first SUP race he instantly fell in love with the sport and has been doing it ever since. His most notable achievements include ranking 5th in the Australian SUP titles in 2019 and 3rd in the Queensland SUP titles.
