Luciano Martins began surfing at the age of 13 and has been surfing ever since. He has raised three children, his eldest being a professional water athlete and major competitor on the APP World Tour. When his son Leonardo Gimenes began competing in SUP Surfing competitions in Brazil, Luciano would follow him and compete in the Master category. Luciano began to dedicate himself more to SUP in 2015 and ultimately won the Brazilian Professional Master championship in 2017 and is a regular competitor on the APP World Tour. When he isn’t surfing, he enjoys having a beer with some friends and listening to a good rock and roll band.
