Ollie Puddick grew up in Gisborne, New Zealand across the road from Wainui beach. The first sport he tried was rugby, like most Kiwi boys, but he soon immersed himself into water sports like swimming, surfing and lifesaving- spending his childhood at the beach. Ollie first tried SUP in 2017 after working in the Waterman Store in NZ and was looking to try something different. He went competitive immediately and went to a local race to give it a go.

Ollie’s most momentous achievements include the 2019 New Zealand long distance champion and a 2 X 2nd place ranking at the 2019/20 technical championships. Ollie is a firefighter by day so is kept busy by that but is dedicated to improving his SUP skill set and travelling the world to compete.
