Sebastian Fumero grew up in Costa Rica in a close-knit family who introduced him to a myriad of sports. Sebas began with motocross at 6 years old, which he competed in for 5 years. Before he arrived at SUP, he tried his hand at running, mountain biking, surfing, Muay Thai, Kickboxing and triathlons, perhaps making him the most versatile SUP athlete on the APP World Tour.

After seeing SUP on the television in 2017, Sebas had a gnawing urge to try it and when he did, he instantly fell in love. After falling in the first race he entered he has been committed to competing at a high level. Sebas’ most notable achievements include a 3rd place in Paddle Like a Pro in Panama 2019, 4th place in the Costa Rica SUP championship 2019 and a 3rd place in Paddle Run in Costa Rica 2020.
