About
Tyler was born and raised in Dana Point, California where he has been going down to his local break of Doheny ever since he has been able to walk. Surfing was the sport that initially drew him to the ocean, but as he got older, his dad, who was a paddle racer at the time, introduced him to SUP and he was instantly hooked on the sport.
Tyler’s dad spotted the talent in his son, so convinced him to start SUP racing which has paid off brilliantly. So far in his blooming career, Tyler placed 4th in the junior division of the ISA World Championships2019, took first place at the PPG junior technical race 2018 and took another victory in the Santa Monica pier 360 festival. Tyler also joined the pros in competing in the Red Bull Heavy Water event 2019, which is the most extreme SUP race in the world, showcasing his serious potential to his competitors and the global SUP circuit. Alongside his many victories and dedicated training regime, Tyler is a student at Saddleback college.
