William grew up in Toa Alta with his parents and his younger brother. His first sport was volleyball which he started at age 7 and carried on practising it for 6 years. When William tried SUP for the first time when he was 13, he decided he would dedicate himself to the sport and quit volleyball as he enjoyed SUP much more. Since this colossal life decision, William has competed in the Carolina CUP, the SEA Paddle race and represented Puerto Rico at the ISA World Championships in the long-distance event in 2019.
